Hi, I'm Kate! I'm a Background Paint and Visual Development Artist from Adelaide, Australia, with over 4 years experience working in TV Animation. I'm passionate about painting and working with light and colour to bring stories to life.
I've spent the last year working as a Background Painter on new series, 'Invincible Fight Girl' at Cartoon Network Studios.

Previously I have worked with Flying Bark Productions, Titmouse, Chalkdust Animation and L7 Pictures. I have experience working as a Visual Development Artist, Background Painter and Environment Designer, which have provided me with skills in designing and developing the visual style, color palettes and lighting for both 2D and CG Animation.
I’m passionate about continuing to learn and hone my skills. I am currently taking an Environment Design class with Nathan Fowkes and recently completed a Visual Development mentorship with Yuhki Demers. I have a Bachelors Degree in Film and Creative Writing at Griffith University in Australia.
I'm available from March 2024 for in-house, remote and freelance opportunities and qualify for an E3 Visa to work in the US.
